FORD以Focus ST打造而成的BEV（Battery Electric Vehicle）電動車，參加美國NBC製播The Jay Leno Show節目中的Green Car Challenge環保車挑戰單元，以環保車款競賽結合節目的趣味性，達成推廣環保節能的效果。

在The Jay Leno Show節目當中，來賓必須駕駛Focus ST BEV電動車挑戰最佳單圈時間。當然，FORD的目的絕對不只是參加節目，而是希望藉此打響將於2010年推出的Transit Connect電動車與2011年推出的Focus電動車的名號。
就在2009法蘭克福車展當中，FORD歐洲發表Focus BEV原型電動車，動力源自可輸出141hp/32.6kgm的電動馬達，電力由60Ah鋰電池組負責，最大行駛里程可達128km。

Focus ST BEV電動車擁有單一速度感應變速箱，前輪別採用麥花臣與後輪採用多連桿懸吊系統，操控上並無太大的難處。
