【商台互動體育組】利物浦剛在歐聯出局，在聯賽又跌至第7位，情況已陷谷底，還要受宿敵的難聽說話。曼聯隊長加利尼維利，周五公開批評紅軍今季表現極差，不值得打晉級歐聯16強：「利物浦歐聯出局？抵死！」

加利尼維利日前正式出言挑釁利物浦球迷，稱對方今季表現咎由自取，又謂紅軍不值打入歐聯16強，冇得好怨。該名34歲右閘說：「你們是一支怎樣的球隊，就會有個怎樣的下場；我們現時能身處那個位置（聯賽次席、歐聯提早出線），就證明我們有實力值得有這下場。」

利物浦周日還要在打吡戰硬撼愛華頓，令領隊賓尼迪斯壓力更大。如今，又受到加利尼維利的出言挑釁，確實無說話可以反駁。加利仔續說：「他們表現未夠好，故在歐聯沒有立足之地。」這名曼聯隊長早前因停賽3場關係缺陣，但周中歐聯對比錫達斯時終復出。

加利尼維利繼續招積地說：「周六我們將會面對樸茨茅夫，我很高興能重返這支『勝利球隊』。」

Manchester United defender Gary Neville says he has no sympathy for Liverpool after their Champions League exit this week.

The Anfield giants are still coming to terms with the certainty they will be consigned to the Europa League next spring, having failed to emerge from a group featuring Fiorentina, Lyon and Debrecen.

Yet the nature of the group system means Liverpool could end up with exactly the same number of points as United, who lost their 23-match unbeaten home record in the competition to Besiktas on Wednesday.

United could even lose to Wolfsburg in Germany next month and still finish top of Group B if CSKA Moscow beat Besiktas to complete a three-way tie United will edge. But Neville, part of a side that went out at the group stage four seasons ago, feels Liverpool have simply not performed.

"As a team, you get what you deserve, don't you?" he said. "We are where we are because we deserve to be there and it's the same with Liverpool.

"We went out ourselves a few years back. They just haven't performed well enough in the Champions League to get the results."

Neville was part of the second-string side that lost 1-0 to Besiktas and admits the result was not acceptable.

United dominated possession, but Besiktas took the spoils thanks to Rodrigo Tello's first-half effort as the hosts' young strikeforce were unable to fashion a reply despite carving out a succession of chances and Michael Owen failing to do any better when he was introduced late on.

"I am extremely disappointed," Neville said. "We didn't convert our chances and didn't do enough in the last third. "Their goal set us back a little bit. It gave them something to hang on to but usually we would expect to score a goal in 95 minutes at Old Trafford. We just didn't manage it."
