Why a crystal oscillator is needed in the circuit

In the crystal industry for many years, have you found any special relationship between the crystal parameters? Often we will find that the higher the frequency of the crystal, the greater the frequency error. And the smaller the size of the SMD crystal, the thicker it will be! In addition, SMD crystals rarely achieve frequencies below 8 MHz, excluding 8 MHz. For example, the low frequency of 2520 SMD crystal can be 12MHZ, and the small frequency of 3225 SMD crystal can support 8MHZ, but only some manufacturers have mature technology.

Why do I need a crystal oscillator in the circuit, do I have to be close to the IC when drawing the pCB?

The crystal is always next to the IC, what's the use

The crystal and the IC are generally connected by a copper trace. This trace can be regarded as a piece of wire or several pieces of wire. The wire will generate current when cutting the magnetic line. The longer the wire, the stronger the current.

The connection between the crystal and the IC becomes the receiving antenna. The longer it is, the stronger the received signal and the stronger the electrical energy generated until the received electric signal strength exceeds or approaches the signal strength generated by the crystal oscillator. The output of the amplifier circuit in the IC will no longer be a square wave of fixed frequency, but a messy signal, which will cause the digital circuit to fail to work synchronously and cause errors.
