曼城註冊25人名單

City confirm Premier League squad of 25

City have announced their list of 25 players for selection in the Barclays Premier League.

Mario Balotelli heads an extensive list of players aged under 21 who are also available for selection and due to their age did not have to take a place in the 25-man squad (below). Other players with first team experience aged under 21 are Dedryck Boyata, Greg Cunningham, Abdi Ibrahim and Alex Tchuimeni-Nimely.

A dozen of the 25 are classed as home-grown under Premier League rules, having spent at least three seasons with a club affiliated to the FA prior to their 21st birthdays, irrespective of their nationalities. The minimum number of home-grown players to achieve a 25-man squad had to be eight.

Roque Santa Cruz is in the 25, as is Michael Johnson, currently battling back from a cruciate knee ligament injury. There are no restrictions for selection for games in either the Carling Cup or the FA Cup.

The 25:

Keepers: Shay Given, Joe Hart, Stuart Taylor.

Defenders: Jerome Boateng, Wayne Bridge, Aleksander Kolarov, Vincent Kompany, Joleon Lescott, Shaleum Logan, Micah Richards, Kolo Toure, Pablo Zabaleta.

Midfielders: Gareth Barry, Nigel de Jong, Adam Johnson, Michael Johnson, James Milner, David Silva, Yaya Toure, Patrick Vieira, Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Forwards: Emmanuel Adebayor, Jo, Roque Santa Cruz, Carlos Tevez.

Hargreaves makes Reds squad

All of United's players - barring those currently out on loan - are eligible to play for the Reds in the Premier League this season.

Sir Alex Ferguson and his fellow top-flight managers had until 17:00 BST on Wednesday 1 September to submit a squad of a maximum of 25 players* to the Premier League.

There had been some media debate as to whether Owen Hargreaves, still currently receiving treatment in the US for a tendonitis problem that his limited him to one substitute appearance since September 2008, would make the final squad. But he has been included.

United's Champions League squad has also been submitted to UEFA, European football's governing body, and now has to be verified before being confirmed.

Manchester United: Ben Amos, Darren Fletcher, Tomasz Kuszczak, Darron Gibson, Edwin van der Sar, Ryan Giggs, Wes Brown, Owen Hargreaves, Nani, Anderson, Park Ji-Sung, Jonathan Evans, Patrice Evra, Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes, Antonio Valencia, Gary Neville, Dimitar Berbatov, John O'Shea, Javier Hernandez, Nemanja Vidic, Michael Carrick, Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney. (United can also use Fabio, Rafael, Ritchie De Laet, Gabriel Obertan, Bebe, Chris Smalling, Federico Macheda).
