39 QUESTIONS WITH DJIBRIL CISSE

Liverpoolfc.tv puts top scorer Djibril Cisse on the spot with 39 questions covering everything from his ambitions at the club, his many tattoos, a career in fashion and his stolen parrot. Honest!
1. Your scoring record is pretty good so far this season but do you think you can achieve 20 goals this season?
"Yeah. At the moment I am happy with the number of goals I have scored but I think I can reach 20 goals."
2. Is that your target 20 goals?
"It's not really important but if I can I will try my best."
3. Who was your hero when you were growing up?
"My hero was the French striker Jean-Pierre Papin."
4. Did you have any other heroes outside of football?
"Not really, I was more into football."
5. Do you like being called the Lord of Frodsham?
"Yes, it's not a problem for me, it's more like a joke thing but it's okay."
6. Do your team-mates call you Lord?
"No!"
7. Who do you consider to be the best striker in the world?
"Thierry Henry. For me he is the best striker."
8. What is it about his style of play that you like?
"I like his style and his skill and he scores a lot of goals."
9. Is he also a friend of yours from the France national team?
"Yeah, we have a good relationship."
10. Your English has become very good since you arrived at Liverpool but do you understand Jamie Carragher?
"Yeah, I am improving my English and I'm starting to understand Jamie now!"
11. Who would you say is your best friend at Liverpool Football Club?
"I don't have a best friend but I think I have a good relationship with all of my team-mates. It's easier for me with the French lads but I really like all of them."
12. The fans at Liverpool absolutely love you, how does that make you feel?
"I'm very happy and for me it's very important to have a good relationship with the fans because I think we are here because of the fans. I really love them and I am very happy here with this relationship."
13. How does it make you feel when you see their flags because there have been some good flags about you from the fans?
"I'm really pleased when they scream my name because they like what I do for them and I'm really happy."
14. What is the greatest goal you've ever scored?
I think it was in my last season in Auxerre."
15. Have you got a favourite goal for Liverpool so far?
"Yes, my goal in Anderlecht."
16. A lot has been said about your relationship with Rafael Benitez but a lot of it is not true is it?
"No, it's a lot of speculation about nothing because we have a really good relationship. There's no problem with me and him. It's just a normal relationship."
17. A lot of fans were really pleased when you ran over to him and shook his hand when you scored against Blackburn?
"It was just to show to the people that there's no problem between me and the coach. I don't want to leave and I don't want to quit Liverpool. I'm really pleased to be here and I'm really happy."
18. A lot of fans think you can become a legend at Anfield. Would you like to stay here for many years?
"Oh yeah. I'm here for the next five years as is my contract and if it's more it's more as I'm really happy to stay here.
19. Is your ambition at Liverpool to win the Premiership title because you've won the European Cup?
"Yes, it's one of my ambitions and I have five years to do it. I am going to try my best."
20. Is it true when you were a little child you used to keep a book and write down all the goals you scored?
"Oh yes, it's true. Sometimes it was 100, 200 a week - kids stuff!"21. I've heard you once appeared in a French film called 'The Eleven Commandments', is that right?
"Yes. It was all my friends in France and they asked me to do a small scene in the movie and I said yes."
22. What did you have to do?
"I had to take a free-kick. There were five or six guys in the wall and they only had underpants on and I had to kick the ball at them! It was really funny."
23. I take it it was better to be doing the kicking rather than standing there?
"Oh yeah!"
24. You're famous for your mad haircuts but has their ever been a haircut you had done and then thought, that doesn't look too good?
"Maybe in the past when I had a really big afro. I think it was a little bit stupid!"
25. You have a lot tattoos. Do they hurt and what is your favourite tattoo you have?
"First of all it really hurts and my favourite one is my wings and I have my daughter's name as well on my neck."
26. When did you start to have your tattoo's done and what inspired you?
"The first one was a small rose on my chest and that was five years ago."
27. What music do you listen to in your car on your way to training?
"It depends. Hip Hop, house and dance."
28. Have you got a favourite musical artist or a favourite CD you will listen to more than any other?
"No. I like house music."
29. Can you rap and would you ever release a hip-hop record?
"No, I can't rap but I have a lot of friends who can."
30. You are obviously really interested in fashion. Have you ever thought about bringing out a fashion line?
"Yeah, I already have my brand called Club Nine."
31. After a career in football do you think you will stay in the game or do you think that music or fashion might interest you?
"Stay in football,why not, but if not, it's going to be in fashion."
32. You seem to have a talent for dancing as we seen after the Champions League final. Who is the best dancer at the club and is it you?
"No, it's not me. I think it's Flo."
33. You are one of the fastest footballers in the world. Did you ever consider becoming a sprinter?
"Yeah. When I started in football, it was football or athletics. I chose football."
34. Have you got a fastest time for the 100 metres?
"No, maybe it's less than 11 seconds or something."
35. Are you the fastest player at the club?
"Yes."
36. Is it true you had a parrot stolen?
"Yes. I had just brought it and they stole it from the shop."
37. Will you be getting a new one?
"Maybe but not yet."
38. Why do you think Liverpool struggled to score goals at the start of this season when we have so many good strikers at the club?
"I think it is going to be okay. We just need time as we have a lot of new players. I think I am a new player because I didn't play much last season and I think we just need time."
39. So for you this is like starting new because of your injury last season?
"Yes. For me it's my first season." |
