INTRODUCING - 100 PLAYERS WHO SHOOK THE KOP
Are you bored already at the prospect of a summer without club football? Got no interest in the World Cup and think tennis and cricket are not real sports? Well don't despair, Liverpoolfc.tv have the answer...
Four years after our ground-breaking '100 Days That Shook The Kop' series we are pleased to announce the launch of the sequel - an exciting new summer project that will ensure Liverpudlian's everywhere have something to keep them going until the start of the football season in August.
We present to you - '100 Players Who Shook The Kop!'
From Raisbeck to Rush, Clemence to Carragher and so on, every player to have ever played a first team game for the Reds will be considered for membership of this prestigious top 100. But the ultimate decision is down to YOU the fans.
Starting today we are inviting fans to vote for who they believe to be the ten greatest Liverpool players of all-time and once the votes are counted up the definitive top 100 will take shape.
Those players who make the top 100 will be honoured on this website via the e-Season ticket console with a specially produced video clip, which will include archive footage and exclusive interviews. All the relevant stats, facts and figures about the said player will also be displayed in text format.
Then from May, the gripping countdown from 100 to 1 will begin. Every Monday to Friday, two names will be inducted into this coveted hall of fame until we reach number 40, then it will be one a day until the series draws to its grand conclusion.
Since 1892 hundreds of players have represented this club so you're hardly going to be spoilt for choice when making your selections but everyone has their own particular favourites so be careful not to be swayed by popular opinion.
The greatness of a player can be measured in many ways – obviously, his ability on the pitch is the most important, but you may have fond memories of a certain individual due to his rapport with the fans, a specific incident that you've never forgotten or anything else that has left a lasting impression on you.
We want this to be the most honest and authoritative assessment of Liverpool FC's players so think long and hard before casting your vote, then sit back and enjoy your summer by following '100 Players Who Shook The Kop', right here on Liverpoolfc.tv.
And, as an added bonus, if you take part in this vote then you'll automatically be in with a chance of winning either two tickets to our first home game of next season or a Liverpool training shirt signed by Xabi Alonso and Momo Sissoko. |
