科拿相信英格蘭陣中有足夠的人腳去爭奪世盃，而如果英格蘭最終能於７月９日在德國封王，靠的是球員們同氣連枝，和領隊艾力臣無關。以下是科拿接受訪問的原文。  

打從艾力臣接手英格蘭開始，我們常聽到有人說二零零六年的世界盃是英格蘭自一九六六年以來最有機會奪得冠軍的一屆。  

六年前英格蘭足總的高層說過，等到零六年世界盃的時候，英軍陣中就會冒起一班天才橫溢、富於經驗並正值當打之年的球員去德國爭標，而領導球隊的會是一位足智多謀、可隻手扭乾珅的領隊。  

現在看來，我覺得只有前半段是說對的。  

若果英格蘭真的能夠打敗一眾對手並登上頒獎台上，這絕對不會是艾力臣的功勞。  

上周末對巴拉圭的勝仗，再加上如果明天可以打敗千里達的話，英格蘭就可以提早宣告成功進身十六強。  

但你無可避免地有一種感覺，那就是球隊有些地方是不對勁的，而那是由領隊做成。我跟艾力臣沒有任何私怨 - 除了在他旗下作戰過幾年之外，我對他一無所知 - 我現在所提出的質詢相信廣大的球迷一早已察覺到了。  

我非常渴望看見英格蘭可以於七月九日在柏林捧盃，但在晉級過程中，球隊必然會遇到很多難關，艾力臣可以在正確的時刻作出正確的決定嗎？我不知道，你認為呢？  

從對巴拉圭那場比賽中可見，球隊其實還有很大的進步空間，而球隊的後備力量還沒有被充份應用。上仗奧雲的表現可能不及在熱身賽時好，但我還是不認同領隊把他換出。  

奧雲是世界級的球員，特別是他處理埋門一腳，他可以單憑自己的功夫取得入球。他因為斷腳而停止作賽了十七個星期，現在他正努力地使自己可以盡快回覆狀態，因此他雖要多點時間在場上作賽，以戰養戰。  

那為何要在英格蘭領先並控制戰局的時候把他換出？形勢本是好好的卻硬要退守並龜縮於自己半場？英格蘭有很多高質素的球員可以幫助球隊改變戰術，但他們卻在後備席上無所事事。  

英格蘭中場線上人材濟濟，有謝拉特、林柏特、碧咸和袓高爾，別忘記朗尼很快就可以復出，這夢幻般的陣容理應可以殺敗任何對手。  

這情況會發生在德國嗎？我很懷疑。很多時如果Ａ計劃是行不通的話，球隊是沒有Ｂ計劃的。我不明白艾力臣為何不讓謝拉特做回他在利物浦的角色，使這位神奇隊長可以把奇蹟帶入國家隊。  

把決賽週的中場都列出來，然後試試找出兩、三個比謝拉特更出色的中場球員。很困難吧？我就是揣摸不到為甚麼艾歷臣老是要把一大堆防務加諸在他身上。  

英軍在決賽週早段應該不會遇到太大阻力，但去到八強就會面對真正的強者。到那時我們就會見識到艾力臣有沒有能力去對現他初上任時的承諾。

Prime Minister Tony Blair has vowed to do the Peter Crouch robotic dance if England manage to win the World Cup.

The Liverpool striker has become famous for his celebration although he recently said he won't be doing it in Germany while the serious football is taking place.

Talking about England's participation and the robo dance, Blair said: "I can't remember in the last few World Cups so much excitement as now.

"It's fantastic. It's impossible not to get caught up in the frenzy.

"If we win the World Cup I would be quite happy to do it (the Crouch dance) all around Downing Street."

A one year loan with option to buy, the Olympic one of Marseilles and Liverpool agreed to make it possible Djibril Cissé to join the club of its heart the next season. According to the Team of Friday which reveals information, the signature of the player would intervene in a few days.



Cissé currently rests in England, in its residence, after its operation of the leg following its fracture tibia-fibula undergone at the time of France-China (3-1), last friendly match of Blue before the World cup. Manchester City have reportedly made a late move for Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann in the hope of hijacking his proposed move to Bolton Wanderers.

The former German international has been told he can leave Anfield on a free transfer although Liverpool are looking at receiving up to £500,000 in future payments from potential buyers based on appearances and any success that he contributes to.

Didi has proved himself to be one of Gerard Houllier's best signings. He's a very popular figure at Melwood and in the city where you'll often see him out on the lash following a Liverpool victory.
