Rafael Benitez has hinted he may leave Milan Baros out of his first team plans for Saturday's 200th Merseyside derby.  
Baros made a return to the starting line-up against Olympiacos in midweek after a month out with a hamstring injury, but the boss has suggested he could leave him out at Goodison to ensure he is ready for the busy programme of games which lie ahead.
  
Benitez said: "We were without Milan for more than three weeks and he wanted to play against Olympiacos. In my opinion, he wasn't in the best physical condition during that game.
  
"We have three games to play in eight days and so it's in my mind not to have him on my list for the derby. That's a decision I will make this afternoon."
  
If Baros is left out then his place could go to young French striker Florent Sinama-Pongolle following his impressive second half display in midweek.
  
"I told Sinama before the game that if he played I wanted to see the real him," added the boss. "He is a good player with a lot of qualities and he showed them during the game. He did well."

龐高尼才是「紅軍」真英雄

周中絕對是英格蘭球壇值得慶祝的日子，因為四支有份參加歐聯的球隊，最後都能順利進身十六強分組賽階段，其中尤以紅軍利物浦反勝奧林比亞高斯最激動人心，雖然傳媒一致將功勞歸於射入奠勝一球的隊長謝拉特，但Peter認為下半場以後備身份入替的法國小將龐高尼，才是紅軍晉級的頭號功臣。

龐高尼是前度領隊侯利亞一手引入利物浦，今季季初當前輩施斯、以及賓尼迪斯愛將路爾斯加西亞加盟球隊之時，很多人都猜測龐高尼於隊中已再難有表演機會，不過「時勢造英雄」，當一眾前鋒輪流受傷，龐高尼被委以重任，結果龐高尼並沒有因為久疏戰陣而影響狀態，其表現亦沒有令賓尼迪斯失望，成功協助球隊扭轉乾坤。  



巴塞Ｗ可作變倍器
  

龐高尼雖然個子矮小，但踢法刁鑽，於前鋒線上起到牽制作用，周中為球隊扳平一球，充分顯露了其埋門觸覺的敏銳，之後球隊所入兩球，皆是龐高尼於左路發難，製造更多空位予隊友於中路埋門，所以三個入球都與龐高尼有直接或間接關係。至於另一年輕鋒將美羅繼擊敗阿仙奴一役之後再有佳作，謝拉特能夠射入致勝入球，大部分功勞應歸功於頭槌妙傳的美羅，只要賓尼迪斯能夠擅用這兩名年輕球員，相信紅軍未來幾年的成績可以更上一層樓。
