高中生美根的雙胞胎妹妹蘇菲於數月前離奇自殺，令她陷入悲傷之中……直到暑假，美根決定和朋友到一所湖邊別墅渡假，希望可以忘卻喪妹之痛，可是在陽光綠水背後，離奇怪事陸續發生，美根隱隱感覺到蘇菲的靈魂一直纏擾著她，一個驚人秘密亦逐漸被揭開……

For most high school graduates on their way to college, the middle of summer is an exciting time, but for Megan, this summer is a time of mourning and loss due to the unexplained suicide of her identical twin sister Sophie, six months ago. Megan is haunted by her sister's shocking death but decides to try and escape from her troubles by joining her closest friends at their annual retreat, a trip to the backwoods of rural Louisiana to her family's old lake house for a weekend of fun.

But this year, Megan's problems are just beginning as she starts to suspect that Sophie may be trying to communicate from beyond the grave, and that the summer solstice is more than just a day on the calendar, but a time when the boundary between our world and the spirit realm may be at its thinnest. The haunting drama that results could shatter the fragile relationships between Megan and her friends and change their young lives forever.
