Shock about-face by Italian could prolong Becks' Three Lions love affair...

Fabio Capello is willing to perform a U-turn and offer former England captain David Beckham the opportunity to resume his international career.
Beckham, who has won 115 caps - a record for an outfield player - seemed to have been ruled out of England manager Capello's future plans before the Three Lions' friendly against Hungary earlier this month, when he talked of staging a friendly that would allow Beckham an emotional 'farewell to the fans'.
However, The News of the World reports that he has now promised Beckham he will be considered for the senior squad when he regains full fitness with his MLS club LA Galaxy.
The newspaper quotes Capello as saying: "First Beckham has to be playing again but the door is always open. We're monitoring all the players.
"Once he recovers and is in really good condition, we will have a chat.
"I think the future is with the youth but after that, I will decide which players to choose.
"We know the value of the different older players. The future is with the young players because we have to think about the Euros, but no player is out."
Beckham, forced to miss this summer's World Cup because of a torn Achilles tendon, was part of Capello's coaching staff during the ill-fated campaign in South Africa, though his role primarily to offered tips and guidance to the squad rather than coach them.
Capello added: "The relationship between me and David is really good.
"I spoke with him on the phone because he was part of the staff at the World Cup. Usually I don't speak with players but in this case I spoke with David."
Capello is due to name his squad for the Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Switzerland this evening. Beckham is still recovering so is not in contention, but could force his way back into future squads.
Meanwhile, tonight's squad announcement is expected to see Fulham's rookie goalkeeper David Stockdale selected. Capello has reportedly been impressed with Stockdale and will make him third-choice keeper behind Joe Hart and Ben Foster.
