Monday's RAW Rating, John Cena Banged Up, More

Story By: Marc Middleton
- Mick Foley noted on Twitter that he and WWE announcer Scott Stanford were a part of the same college radio station back in the 1980's.

- Brock Lesnar's new book, Death Clutch: My Story of Determination, Domination, and Survival, is currently scheduled to be released on April 19th.

- John Cena was reportedly banged up before being injured last week at the RAW live event against Wade Barrett. The most recent hip injury is apparently another injury on a small list of minor injuries Cena is suffering from. There's still no word yet on Cena's status but it sounds like WWE thinks he may be ready for next week's show.

- Monday night's episode of WWE Monday Night RAW scored a 3.06 cable rating, down from last week's 3.08. We should have more RAW ratings data later on.

Title Change & New #1 Contender On SmackDown

Story By: Marc Middleton
- Kofi Kingston became the new WWE Intercontinental Champion at Tuesday's SmackDown tapings in Tucson, Arizona, airing tonight. The following comes from our spoiler coverage:

* Kofi Kingston beat Dolph Ziggler to win the WWE Intercontinental Title. After the match, Dolph attacked Kofi. Vickie Guerrero demands a restart and the match resumes. Kofi wins again.

However, Ziggler is now your new #1 contender to Edge's World Heavyweight Title after winning a #1 contender's match at tonight's tapings, right after he lost the Intercontinental Title to Kofi.

Vickie Guerrero came out and put Dolph in the #1 contender's match against Cody Rhodes, Big Show and Drew McIntyre. Ziggler won the match and the #1 contendership by pinning Cody.

No word yet if Dolph will get his shot at the Royal Rumble or not.

JR Working on a Movie?, Cena Reaches Goal, More

Story By: Marc Middleton
- WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and Beth Phoenix will be appearing at the Jubilee Banquet Facility in Knoxville, Tennessee on Sunday, January 9th at 12pm.

- John Cena surpassed his goal of raising 3 million Delta frequent flyer miles for the Make-A-Wish Foundation by the end of 2010 thanks to the WWE Universe and friend NASCAR star Carl Edwards. Over 4.2 million flyer miles will be donated for the foundation to use as Cena donated over 1 million himself and Edwards made a generous donation.

Additionally, the WWE Universe donated over $14,000 to Make-A-Wish through the text-to-donate campaign that has been going on.

- Jim Ross noted on Twitter this week that he was meeting with former Oklahoma football star, former pro wrestler and NFL star Marcus Dupree about potential non-wrestling business opportunities. Ross said a movie of some kind could be in the works.

Backstage WrestleMania 27 News, Possible Top Matches

Story By: Marc Middleton

- WWE has reportedly decided on a top six-match program for WrestleMania 27 which would mostly be new programs from what is being worked on right now. The top two matches would be John Cena vs. The Miz for the WWE Title and Wade Barrett vs. The Undertaker, which will play off Nexus' involvement in Taker being buried alive a few months ago.

This year the booking is a bit different as in years past, officials have had the top WrestleMania matches locked in and a direction laid out.

It's important to note that The Undertaker being ready for WrestleMania still isn't a sure thing.

More on HHH Having More Power, Elimination Chamber News

Story By: Steve Carrier

- Unless WWE officials change direction and book a title change at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, current plans have Edge and The Miz as the two champions who will be defending going into the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

- Most people within WWE are positive about Triple H having more influence and power in the company these days. There's a feeling that while Triple H has had some power for years now, this will be the first year of what will be a transition from Vince McMahon to Triple H as the guy leading the company. The transition will likely be a very slow one as there is no indication that Vince is giving up power. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are considered to be the successors to Vince's throne, so to speak.

WWE Settles with Former Employee Over Harassment Claims

Story By: Steve Carrier

- You may remember a story last year about a female WWE employee, Global Licensing Coordinator Fara D'Angelo, who claimed she was sexually harassed by a married male co-worker around WrestleMania time. The co-worker was fired and D'Angelo left the company.

The lawsuit against WWE by D'Angelo was recently settled out of court with the terms undisclosed.

D'Angelo complained to her manager at WWE about the alleged sexual harassment and claimed she was encouraged to find another job somewhere else. She then went to WWE's Human Resources department and eventually left the company. D'Angelo said that WWE offered her a raise and promotion if she would drop the suit and return to work. She declined the offer and filed the suit, which was recently settled out of court.

Updates on John Cena and Rey Mysterio's WWE Status

Story By: Steve Carrier

- As noted before, Rey Mysterio has been pulled from this weekend's WWE live events and will be replaced by Big Show in matches against Alberto Del Rio. This is part of John Laurinaitis agreeing to give Mysterio an even easier schedule while he's working around the shoulder tear. Rey will continue to work all TV tapings and pay-per-view events but will be working limited live event dates for the time being.

- There's still no word yet on the severity of John Cena's hip injury or if he will return to ring action next week but with WWE officials really wanting him healthy enough to perform in the Royal Rumble match, it's likely he will be kept off live events until then. If he's healthy enough until then, Cena may work some TV matches.
