由首席編舞安妮．弗萊契（Anne Fletcher）首次親自執導的青年勵志歌舞作品，安妮並包下了電影中所有的編舞，音樂直接展示了年輕人眼中的「街舞」到底和傳統模式化的舞蹈有什麼不同，專輯全部由R&B和HIP-HOP組成，一開始就有三首不錯的合作歌曲Yung Joc and 3LW的 "Bout It"，Ciara and Chamillionaire的 "Get Up"，Sean Paul and Keyshia Cole的 "（When You Gonna） Give It Up to Me."。當然專輯也有個人show， KELIS的"80's Joint"，與KELIS相對的老將Anthony Hamilton的"Dear Life"，還有一聽就坐不住的快歌 Drew Sidora的 "Til the Dawn",還有美妙結尾的Jamie Scott的"Made"。另外還有Deep Inside的"Lovely" 和Gina Rene的"U Must Be"這兩首上口的抒情慢歌。
Tyler Gage (CHANNING TATUM) has grown up all his life on the rough streets of the city and he knows he's unlikely to ever make it out of there. But after a brush with the law lands Tyler with a community service gig at the city's Maryland School of the Arts, everything changes.
