1.(Newton’s law of cooling)
A bowl of soup at 100°C is bought into a room where the air is 20°C

additional time is required for it to cool to 30°C?

2. (Dead Body)
Suppose that a dead body with temperature 83.6 0 F was discovered
at midnight in a room of temperature 68.6 0 F. One hour later, the
temperature of the body was measured at 76.1 0 F. Estimate the time
of death of the person. (Assume that at the time of death, body
temperature was 98.6 0 F).

dP/dt = k(P - 20), where k is a constant
