It's a bit early, but I have nothing else to do...
First, a comparison of the stats of the TPG, AWM, and FR-F2.
Note: Stats aren't always true.
Damage: TPG (100/110) > AWM (95/105) > FR-F2 (95)
Range: TPG (95/99) > AWM (88/91) > FR-F2 (80/82)
Accuracy: AWM (97/99) > TPG (95) > FR-F2 (92)
Stability: FR-F2 (30) > AWM (20/21) > TPG (10/11)
Mobility: FR-F2 (20) - AWM (20) > TPG (12)
ROF: FR-F2 (20) > AWM (12) > TPG (5)
Ammo: FR-F2 (5/10) > TPG (5) - AWM (5)
Now the FR-F2:

It's in Korean but,
Stats:
95 Damage
80 Range
92 Accuracy
30 Stability
20 Mobility
20 RoF
5 Ammo
Pros:
+High ROF for a bolt action
+High one shot kill rate, higher than AWM and SV-98, slightly lower than TPG
+Decent stability, but needs shift-shooting
+Has a scope speed almost as fast as the AWM
Cons:
-Will tag more than the TPG on EA08
Basically, the FR-F2 is a combination of the, in my opinion, SV-98 and TPG. It's got the TPG's power, accuracy, and range, along with the SV-98's fast ROF, fast QS, and 10 bullet clip if you mod it to 10. It's great for rushing, along with camping long range, anything in between, and decent at jumpshots and no scoping. It's definitely the top bolt action in AVA for pub games, but the TPG is a safer bet because of the higher one shot kill rate in a serious demo game.
There are basically two builds to the FR-F2. The pubstar build and the more serious gameplay build. In all honesty though, if you're used to a TPG, you won't feel a difference between the pubstar and serious gameplay builds.
Note: If you have no money, no mods are really needed for the FR-F2, for even without the Range Barrel, it'll still one shot kill up to 60-70m easily.
Pubstar build:

The magazine expander adds +5 ammo, but also reduces your stability by -2. The range barrel adds +2 range, and -1 stability, raising the damage over long range. The main reason I call this the "pubstar build" is because of the +5 ammo, which isn't all that needed for Demolition, and is more suited for Escort and Annihilation. Also, the reduced stability has no effect on the already bad moveshot and jumpshot. If you're used to a TPG, and are used to shift-walking right before you shoot, you should have no problem using the FR-F2 with this build.
Another pro of this build is the fact that because your base ammo count is 10/x, you start with more bullets than the normal ammo count (5/x).
Serious Build:

This build gets rid of the magazine expander, which really doesn't effect that gun that much, but does help the stability slightly. But, as I mentioned above, anyone who can use a TPG well should have no problem with the first build, which I recommend just because of the 10 bullet magazine. Range Barrel, because the +2 range is worth the -1 stability.
Scopes:

Either is fine, but the basic scope you start with isn't bad at all. The Quickscope is a must if you like to rush, which is totally fine with this gun. The Sharpshooter Scope is sort of like the TPG's High Percentage Scope, just with less magnification, but it un-scopes after every shot, which some people like. I'd suggest the basic scope, since it has two zooms like the Sharpshooter Scope, if you want to save euros. Sharpshooter scope is my personal opinion, since because it automatically un-zooms after each shot, there is no need to quick-switch after each shot/kill.
Basic: Euro saver and it's decent
Quickscope: Only one zoom, does not un-scope after every shot.
Sharpshooter: Un-scopes after every shot, my personal choice.
Note: The AWM also has a Sharpshooter scope, but although it's in KAVA, ijji did not put it in this version. Thus, the same may happen with the FR-F2.
Good luck with this gun, not that you'll really need it. FR-F2 is easily one of the easiest, yet deadliest bolt actions in AVA. |
