賓尼迪斯：我為何盤膝而坐

【球迷會網站】賓尼迪斯解釋了他在歐聯四強次回合比賽中互射十二碼的時候盤膝坐在球場上的原因  

該位西班牙藉領隊的不尋常舉止成為利物浦擊退車路士賽事的花邊新聞不過賓尼迪斯接受利物浦官方網站訪問時表示他決定盤坐地上全因為讓球迷看到互射十二碼的情況  

「車路士的球員站在後備席箱之前但球迷們則叫他們坐下」賓尼迪斯說  

「我們走到一旁但球迷也一樣看不到所以我們坐下來看我們那樣做是為我們的球迷著想」  

「我的確很冷靜因為我對連拿有十足信心他撲救十二碼有一手此外我挑選的球員都曾練習過他們幾乎在每次操練都面對連拿和杜迪克去練習因此我很有信心」  

同時賓尼迪斯透露他沒有在球隊三季內第二度晉身歐聯決賽後與球員們慶祝因為他怕被弄至渾身濕透呢  

「我在與傳媒交談我接受了約十五間電視台的訪問還有記者招待會當我完成訪問後他們就開始慶祝了我看到班主也正在加入慶祝行列但經驗告訴我遠離球員們比較好一點！」  

「跟著我與新班主各人和一些職員輕鬆地慶祝因為與球員們慶祝有著一定危險！」  

「我們到了一間酒店暢飲一番也談談足球我喝了幾杯水和香檳」  

「我們真的很高興但我們現在必須完成奪標的使命」

Liverpool winger Mark Gonzalez is hoping he can make history by becoming the first Chilean footballer to appear in a Champions League final when Liverpool take on AC Milan in Athens.
Despite being an unused substitute against Chelsea at Anfield last week, Gonzalez has revealed that the win was the happiest moment of his career.

"I'm very happy with Liverpool's win over Chelsea, because it allowed us to reach the final," he says. "Even though I did not play, I'm proud of having being chosen to be on the bench.

"I have never experienced anything like it in my life. To reach this final is like winning a championship. I have no doubt this is the happiest moment of my career."

"I'm satisfied because to be at Liverpool is not easy. This is my first year here in England and I have got used to a completely different football."

FINNAN: FIGHT FOR FINAL PLACES HAS STARTED

        Steve Finnan believes time is running out for Liverpool's players to stake their claim for a place in the Champions League final in Athens.
After defeat at Craven Cottage on Saturday, Liverpool now only have one match left before the final and the Republic of Ireland international thinks the pressure is on every player to make sure they do enough to impress the boss before he has to name his 18-man squad for the Milan showdown.

"There's no doubt we're already thinking about the final," claims Finnan. "It's a great competition and the build up has already started. We've got to keep training and playing hard. It'll come around quickly and will be a great occasion.

"People are putting in the extra inch in training to impress the manager. Obviously we've got a big squad so a few people are going to be disappointed. Training has really stepped up. The game against Charlton will be the last opportunity to impress even more."

REINA: I STILL LOVE LIVERPOOL

        Pepe Reina insists he is still in love with his adopted city of Liverpool despite having his house burgled during last week's Champions League triumph over Chelsea.
The Spaniard, who saved two penalties to help lead the Reds to Athens, has put the incident down to bad luck.

He said: "When I arrived back home I couldn't see my car and I asked my wife Yolanda where it was. Straight away, we realised something had happened.

"We entered the house and it had been cleaned out. It's true that it makes you scared to think someone has been in your home while you were out.

"But I really like Liverpool and this isn't anything more than a sporadic incident. This area is very tranquil and I've only had a bit of bad luck."
