球証認錯
Referee Rob Styles will not be allowed to take charge of any games at the weekend because of his penalty blunder at Anfield yesterday.
Styles has admitted that he made a mistake by awarding a penalty to Chelsea and will be seeking a one-to-one with Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez to apologise as a result.
Referees' chief Keith Hackett has held talks with Styles to discuss the blunder and Hackett himself has publicly apologised to Rafa for yesterday's cock-up.
Hackett said: "I've spoken to Rob this morning. Obviously he is extremely disappointed after looking at the video and the decision. He's admitted that he's got it wrong.
"I've tried to make contact and have left a message with Rafael Benitez to apologise for the error.
"Rob will not be officiating next weekend.
"I think he was caught at the right-hand side of the penalty area looking over his left-hand shoulder and his initial view, he believed clearly that an offence has taken place.
"Having looked at the video and seen from a better angle and a better view, he now recognises that he got it wrong.
"He is deeply apologetic for that and he too will be making contact with Liverpool in order to offer his apologies."
Hackett also added that Styles had not issued two yellow cards to Essien but said that the matter "might be the subject of further investigation".
唉...你話幾無謂呢.... |
