MOYES DISAPPOINTED WITH PERFORMANCE

Everton manager David Moyes admitted he was disappointed with the performance of his team in their 3-1 derby defeat and felt the Blues should have taken better advantage of the extra man.
Moyes felt it was a below par performance by his team and added his defenders struggled to cope with the physical presence of Peter Crouch.

"We are disappointed as we didn't play as well as we would have liked to have done," explained Moyes.

"We had a mad five minutes when we found ourselves 2-0 down conceding just before half-time and then at the start of the second half. I didn't think we deserved to be 2-0 down but that's the way it goes sometimes. It wasn't a good day for us.

"Crouch caused us problems and he is a very difficult to play against because he is so big as well as being a good player."

KEWELL HAILS MASSIVE WIN

Derby goal hero Harry Kewell hailed the Liverpool performance in the 3-1 win over Everton and desribed it as a massive win.
The Reds number seven said it was a great all-round team performance and felt the victory was richly deserved.

"It was a massive achievement for us and the fans," exclaimed Kewell. "We knew we were up against it from day one with 11 men before the sending off.

"We knew it would be tough but we pulled through. It was crucial for us to score the first but we stung them with the quick second, although they came back well."

RAFA LOOKS FOR FAN POWER TO BEAT CHELSEA

Rafael Benitez believes the support of the fantastic Liverpool fans can help lift his team to beat Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Old Trafford.
The Liverpool manager says his team respond to the fans support and hopes it will be similar to the atmosphere in the Champions League semi-final at Anfield last season.

"Our supporters know what an important day it will be for us and will be louder than anyone," reasoned Benitez.

"They can start winning the game for us in the stand. The atmosphere the last time we met them in the cup was amazing and I would like to see something similar.

"We have played a lot of games against them the last two seasons. The most difficult was the one at Anfield when we conceded four goals.

"The next game will be completely different. They are good, but so are we, and we have a lot of confidence. It's normal to have the kind of rivalry we do because we both want to win trophies."
