"Liverpool's fourth consecutive Premiership victory was perhaps among their easiest as they outclassed and out-passed Albion in the first half before a touch of casualness in the second made this encounter a little more uncomfortable than it needed to be. The final whistle blew and as, peculiarly, a black bin bag swept across the pitch as the players trudged down the tunnel, you couldn't help but think that Albion were not that rubbish. It was more a case of Liverpool being just too good."

"As bargaining chips go, the one just tossed on to the negotiating table by Robbie Fowler will take some beating. Before the weekend only four players had scored more goals for Liverpool than that legend of Anfield legends, Kenny Dalglish. Now Fowler has as well and his tap-in against West Brom - his second goal since his return to Anfield - took him past King Kenny to fifth in the club's all-time list with 173 goals. That's more than Michael Owen, John Aldridge, Ian St John, Kevin Keegan and almost every other striker a Kopite can pluck from Liverpool's glorious 114-year history. Not a bad feat for Fowler to have on his CV when he sits down with manager Rafael Benitez in a couple of weeks to discuss a new contract."

"This result will go a long to way to solidifying the Reds firmly in the top four. With Spurs losing to Newcastle, third place is certainly a minimum. Without Gerrard the side looked composed and assured, and the passing and pace of Alonso and Cisse respectively caused havoc to the baggies rearguard. Well done God for passing the goal tally of the King, and whilst fans can see 2nd place and the FA Cup in their sights, I'm with Rafa - lets just win the next game against Bolton, then we will have more 'possibilities, for sure!'
