Peter Crouch has led a glowing tribute to Robbie Fowler and declared it an honour to play alongside him.  
The former Southampton striker believes he can learn a lot from Fowler and insists his return to the club has been of benefit to both him and the rest of the strikers at Anfield.
  
"For me personally it's an honour just to be in the same team as him because he's been such a great player over the years, and obviously with myself being a striker you watch players like him and learn from him," Crouch told Liverpoolfc.tv.
  
"It's a pleasure to play with him and if I can learn things from him in training and take parts of his game to mine then it can only benefit myself. He has proved over the years what good movement he has got and what a good finisher he is. Even in training you can see by his finishing just how top quality he is and hopefully I can learn from him."
  
Crouch added that he is full of confidence at the moment and believes he will score in every game he plays in, and has thanked the Liverpool fans for their fantastic support to him personally during the times when the goals were hard to come by.
  
"A lot was made at the start of this year when I wasn't scoring but it's taken me time to settle in," added Crouch. I feel really settled now and when I go into games I'm thinking I'm going to score which is a good feeling to have.
  
"I must thank the fans for their support and that is what has been so good for me. When you come to a new club you hope to have a good rapport with the fans and hopefully I have got that. They have been top class with me ever since I arrived and walked through the door, and the people I speak to walking round the city are really friendly. Liverpool Reserve team coach Hughie McAuley admitted he was pleased with the late 1-0 victory over Birmingham City and singled out winger Paul Anderson for special praise.  
The 17-year-old scored a last minute winner and was a constant threat all night for the Reds.
  
"We had to be patient as we were a little bit sloppy at times in the first half but we upped the tempo in the second half and got the goal we deserved," McAuley told Liverpoolfc.tv.
  
"Scoring in the last minute is the best time to score if it's going to be 1-0 so we are pleased with that. Paul Anderson reacted well to score and he was lively on the night but he wasn't in the game enough for our liking. We wanted him in the game more but we couldn't get the ball out to him quickly but when we did do that he caused Birmingham problems.
  
"Scoring goals has been a problem for us this season to be honest but thankfully Paul chipped in with the winner."
