羅比‧福勒，這個球迷眼中的上帝，現在卻要為一紙合約而苦惱。在與西布朗的比賽中，福勒攻入一球擠身俱樂部歷史進球榜前五名，然而這樣的成績卻依舊沒能打動貝尼特斯，他表示，現在他最希望的就是可以得到主教練對於他終老安菲爾德的明確表態。

「現在，我的處境非常尷尬，當一名球員在俱樂部的合同隻剩下六個星期的時候，他會表現出難以置信的焦慮。」福勒說，「我不介意俱樂部在賽季結束前還是賽季結束後和我討論這個問題，我隻是希望在最後時刻能夠得到一個積極的答復。」作為一名救火隊員，福勒重回利物浦後已經展現了他的價值，利物浦啞了許久的鋒線也逐漸步入正軌，紅軍上帝功不可沒。

Sheffield Wednesday have secured the services of Scott Carson on loan until the end of the season.  
Carson's original loan agreement with the Owls was due to expire after this weekend's clash with Crewe in the Championship.
  
Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock has been delighted with the performances of the Liverpool goalkeeper since his switch to Sheffield and has moved quickly to retain Carson's services until April 30.

Kevin Nolan is confident Bolton can get their season back on track with a positive result at Anfield this weekend.  
Sam Allardyce's side have seen their chances of finishing in the top four nosedive over recent weeks following a run of three straight defeats.
  
Nolan knows the pressure is on for Bolton to secure European football for the second successive year and he's keen to avenge last season's defeat at Anfield when Igor Biscan headed in a late winner for the Reds.
  
"We're all looking forward to Liverpool on Sunday and I'm especially looking forward to it," said the Bolton skipper.
  
"Last year we played really well over there and they scored in the last five minutes. I thought we were hard done by so hopefully it will go the other way this time.
  
"Right now were not playing as well as we were last season, but if we put in a good solid performance, hopefully we'll get a result.
  
"The lads are really confident they can get themselves out of this run.
  
"I'm certain well be celebrating at the end of the season, even if right now it is a bad time for Bolton Wanderers."

Rafael Benitez insists real progress has been made at Anfield this season and still feels Liverpool can catch Manchester United in the race for a second place finish.  
The Liverpool manager knows that finishing above Manchester United remains a difficult task but says the players believe they can do that.
  
"We will keep going until the end of the season to try and catch Manchester United for second place and we won't be giving it up," reflected Benitez.
  
"If we can beat Bolton we will be on 70 points and if you analyse our season we have made big progress. We won the Super Cup and almost won the Toyota Cup where we had three goals disallowed which I still find unbelievable."
  
Benitez knows it will be a tough game against Bolton on Sunday but remains confident his team will take the three points.
  
"Bolton are a difficult side to play against and they have an effective style," admitted Benitez. "They like to play a physical game and have physical players. We drew 2-2 there this season and could have won the game and I think we can beat them on Sunday.
  
"Sam Allardyce is doing a good job with Bolton with the style of football they play and it won't be an easy game that's for sure."
