Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho believes Liverpool won't be a major threat to his side next season.

Manchester United and Arsenal will be the two teams challenging Chelsea for the Premier League crown according to the 'special one'.

He said: "I believe that Manchester United and Arsenal will be the better teams.

"The quality of their football, the way they play, the improvements in their squads. United will improve a lot by having Michael Carrick. He's a very, very good player and will improve them.

"United have had some problems since Roy Keane went to Celtic, but they have a very good team and don't need ten players to improve their team. They just choose the right players for the right position. Carrick is a big improvement for them and I think they can be a very strong team.

"Arsenal were not successful in the Premiership but had success, you can say that because they reached the final of the Champions League playing always very good football.

"They have a very good group of players, and some young players with great motivation. Rosicky is also a very important player for them and can bring them the kind of quality - I don't want to compare him to Bergkamp because he was more than special - but Rosicky can bring that kind of quality to the left side. I think they are a very strong team.

"Liverpool are different. They are very competitive, it's very difficult to beat them. If they score a goal before you score, it's very difficult to change it because they defend really well with 11 players and are very, very compact.

"They are tactically very good. And they are potentially fighting for the front pack, but I still fancy more the way Manchester United and Arsenal play football."

He added: "I don't believe it will be easy for other clubs to stop us because we are building a very strong football team and also a very strong family."

Sami Hyypia has vowed to do everything he can to help Liverpool's Argentine new boy Gabriel Paletta settle into English football.  

Hyypia claims the 20-year-old Argentinian youth international reminds him of Jamie Carragher in the way he tackles and his strong positional sense.
  
"He's a great defender, you can see that straight away," enthused the big Finn. "The manager said he reminds him of Carra and he's right. He's a great tackler and he'll be very good for Liverpool. The best advice I can give him is to have the will to learn every day, and it's particularly important for him to learn English quickly. I had that advantage because I could speak English before I joined Liverpool, which was a big help.
  
"It will take him more time to learn the language, but the key to playing well in the Premiership is to always work hard. He knows everyone in the squad will do everything they can to help him adapt, including me.
  
"Some people might think I'll be thinking of my own position, but that's not an issue when you're helping a new team-mate. Of course competition keeps everyone on their toes, but I'm not worrying about that at all. If Gabriel plays well and helps the team more than me, he should play."
  
Hyypia also admitted he welcomed the extra competition for places at centre half with Paletta and also Danish international Daniel Agger waiting in the wings.
  
"The older you get, the longer the recovery time is between games," added Hyypia.
  
"Last season was very tough physically for me, and if I play less games it will mean over the course of a year I play even more at a higher level. "Of course, I want to play as much as possible. I would never be happy not to be involved in a game, but I'm really optimistic going into this season."

在黎巴嫩什葉派真主黨游擊隊7月12日越境襲擊擄走兩名以色列士兵，並打死另外八名士兵後，以色列對黎巴嫩發動大規模軍事行動。真主黨則向以色列國土發射逾1,600枚火箭彈。

特拉維夫哈波爾(泰阿域夏普爾)原訂8月8日主場迎戰斯洛文尼亞當姆薩尼(多明薩)，另外，比尼特拉維夫訂8月10日主場迎戰保加利亞索非亞火車頭隊(Lokomotiv Sofia)。

以色列足協主席梅納赫姆(Iche Menahem)對這一消息極為憤慨，表示以色列足協將「做出強烈回應，不會讓這一決定輕易過關。」(完)

摩連奴指出今屆英超聯賽中，曼聯及阿仙奴給予的威脅比起利物浦還大。

而隊長泰利則稱利物浦是他們爭取三連霸的最大對手。

摩連奴說:「我依然相信曼聯和阿仙奴是球隊的最大威脅。他們擁有較出色的軍容。」

雖然利物浦今夏簽得比拿美及賓納特，不過摩連奴並不擔心紅軍能夠威脅球隊。

「利物浦戰鬥力確是頑強，而且防守及戰術上也相當不俗，不過我仍覺得曼聯和阿仙奴在踢法上比他們更具威脅。」

「曼聯簽得卡域克相信令到他們的中場改善了不少。卡域克是一個出色的球員，他會令曼聯中場更加強大。」摩連奴說。

「阿仙奴陣中很多年青球員不斷成長，令球隊實力不斷增強。而路斯基亦是他們今季重要的收購。」

「他很難跟退休的伯金作為比較，但是他在左路相信能夠製造不少威脅。」
