周中利物浦戰富咸前在歐聯慘敗出局，爭英超亞軍又受嚴重打擊地1-2負阿仙奴，傳賓尼迪斯被皇家馬德里及國際米蘭積極拉攏，謝拉特嚴厲地斥責前鋒入球率低，直言球隊要進步，非羅致亨利、奧雲這一類超級射手不可，然後到最敏感一刻，連領隊賓帥也用激將法：「聽到隊長心中話，我隊的前鋒們應該細心反省一下。」；看到這報導後，我的心中為利物浦一涼，因為激將法並非萬試萬靈的妙藥，除高治外，摩連迪斯、施斯、科拿都屬名將級，這下自尊心被徹底地挑戰，他們有可能產生反抗及消極心理，又或是他們為球隊陷低潮會更自責，因而越踢越力不從心。


日前曼聯的傑斯承認一支球隊不論實力如何強勁，要在漫長球季取得好成績，總有5、6場賽事需要運氣幫助，就像曼聯前周靠占邦達一記欠運的烏龍球，以2-1險勝韋根全取3分。周中利物浦在聯賽中遇富咸，一隊今季英超唯一作客未勝的隊伍，一隊比利物浦有更大內部問題的下游隊伍(富咸剛炒球隊營運總監及財務總監)，在教職員層面上，一方面領隊高文聲言不擔心被炒，但另方面亦多少帶點威嚇意味的「警告」會方，若其手下任何一位教職員被辭退，他自己亦會立即辭職，在這樣的背景下作客上陣，富咸整隊的心情比利物浦眾前鋒們也許更忐忑不安，於是利物浦鋒將高治射入加盟後的第6球，科拿在3次食詐糊後終於開齋，而摩連迪斯亦打破14仗的入球荒，埋單勝5-1；而更重要還有希比亞可在上半場領先2-1的情況下，繼續坐在後備席休息讓艾加打中堅，前兩仗打中堅的查奧爾打左閘，一方面留力，一方面練練新人，我相信這仗大勝是利物浦本季的重要一關，目前信心回升，賓帥又已和董事局洽談新約，利物浦目前比曼聯多失8分，追亞軍席位困難但應會保持燦爛。


上周負曼聯前，紐卡素比排第5的阿仙奴只落後5分，數字上仍然有機會爭歐洲賽席位，但3分全失後，紐卡素的歐洲夢理應放在足總盃身上，8強戰對手是有主場之利的車路士，對球員來說這仗挑戰性十足，立即令我想到「留力」兩個字；紐卡素的周末對手利物浦也是足總盃8強，但對手是暫時仍在降班位的伯明翰，心態上利物浦在周末聯賽，應比紐卡素「上心」得多。


今季紐卡素最精彩的一段表現，在8月都以0-2戰果負阿仙奴及曼聯，一仗桑拿士用4-5-1陣式，精彩，一仗用新援路基用得漂亮，但奈何欠運地球証過嚴在上半場逐贊拿斯離場；對曼聯時陣容較完整，但戴亞、安利又在上半場因觸傷舊患而退下火線 － 這說明若紐卡素在「齊人」下，實力離班霸水平可能不太遠。


上周支持紐卡素的球迷，為看守領隊路達的5勝1和不敗佳績而興奮，但勝利背後靠的是士氣、鬥志，並非實力，奧雲仍缺陣，舒利亞的狀態因傷本季未嘗接近頂峰，他上陣領導球隊，靠的是精神領袖的力量，戴亞剛傷癒只能後備入替，路基不受路達信任，左翼用上欠經驗的尼索比亞，此外不要忘記卡爾、泰萊、巴布爾的缺陣，亦削弱了球隊整體戰鬥力。於是大家不難發覺戰曼聯時，紐卡素的表現只能切合其排在中游第12位的身份，上半場在未能製造任何射門機會的背景下，只落後兩球屬「執番身彩」，下半場聰明地由4-4-2改回4-5-1，但成功止血的主要原因，應該是曼聯的沙夏及朴智星失機頻頻。


我祝福紐卡素下季請到好領隊，聘到好球員，但在留力下周中足總盃的大前題下，周末戰利物浦，相信她難逃一敗。

Liverpool FC have confirmed that their Premiership game at Blackburn Rovers has now been moved to Sunday 16th April, kicking off at 2.30 pm.  
Chief Executive Rick Parry commented: "As soon as we were knocked out of Europe and other fixture dates became available, we contacted both Blackburn Rovers and the FA Premier League and we're delighted it has been possible to reschedule the game.
  
"With the match being moved for a second time, there is obviously a degree of inconvenience for Blackburn Rovers and their supporters and we are very grateful for their co-operation and understanding of the issues involved.
  
"We were always aware of the feelings expressed by many of our supporters on the original date and are glad we have been able to address these concerns."

Stephen Warnock has spoken of his elation after scoring his first goal for the Reds against Fulham on Wednesday night.  
The Reds' full back had only been on the field a couple of minutes when he drilled home Liverpool's fifth of the game with a well struck shot into the corner of the Kop net.
  
"I was overjoyed to score my first Liverpool goal, and to do it in front of the Kop was special," he said.
  
"I must admit that when Peter Crouch and me were sitting on the bench still with 10 minutes to go, it didn't look like we would both end up scoring.
  
"All of a sudden we are both on and both on the scoresheet. That was a dream at the Kop end, and something I will enjoy for a while.
  
"It was good to see the goals shared around. As long as the strikers score it boosts their confidence. It was a perfect night for them with Djibril coming on to make chances, everybody contributed.
  
"It builds up everyone's confidence and sends them into the next game in a good frame of mind.
  
"There have been times when we should have beaten teams convincingly, and it hasn't happened. We have been on the end of games when we have lost and shouldn't have, but for a change it all came together."
  
Despite his joy of scoring in the Kop goal on Wednesday night, Warnock isn't holding out too much hope of spending the summer in Germany as part of England's World Cup plans.
  
He said: "I am not really thinking about England, I have to cement my place in the Liverpool team and that is something I have not been able to do this season properly.
  
"If England comes along it will be a bonus, but I can't see that happening. Wayne Bridge came back from injury for Fulham against us and played very well, he's going to be in the squad for definite, and if Ashley Cole is fit then so will he.
  
"I am not raising my hopes in any way, I just want to play for Liverpool and that's my main objective."

Robbie Fowler looked ahead to the remaining eight games of Liverpool's league season and declared: "We can still finish second."  
The Reds have been buoyed by their convincing demolition of Fulham on Wednesday night as they moved to within two points of Manchester United in the race for the runners-up spot.
  
United still have games in hand over the Reds, but Fowler sees no reason why Liverpool can't come out on top in the race to finish second and secure automatic Champions League football next season.
  
"We had been getting some bad results, now it is up to us to make up the ground and catch Manchester United," he said.
  
"We are confident we can catch them, we are not shouting about it but we believe we can do it.
  
"The goals we all got against Fulham will just boost that confidence higher.
  
"Now we must push on at Newcastle and then Birmingham and build on this in the final games of the season."
  
He added: "It was a great feeling to finally score for Liverpool again. It's been a long time and I'm happy to be off the mark.
  
"There's been a lot of talk about our strikers misfiring and we have answered that now. It wasn't for the want of trying, we'd been getting into positions, but against Fulham it clicked and it was very pleasing.
  
"First and foremost it was about getting the three points but we got that added bonus of three of the strikers scoring, myself Fernando and Peter. It was very pleasing for all concerned, and now we are looking for more in these next two games."

Rafael Benitez has underlined his commitment to Liverpool by insisting he wants to stay and bring the Premiership trophy to Anfield for the first time.  
Benitez has this week moved to quash speculation that he will be moving to Madrid or Milan at the end of the season by revealing he intends to sign a new contract with the Reds.
  
The Liverpool boss knows the challenges which lie ahead if he's to guide the club back to the top of the English game, but he's adamant he wants to stay and repay the support shown to him by everyone at Anfield.
  
"I've spoken with the board and Rick Parry and they've told me they have the same idea as myself," said Benitez. "They want to progress and keep the club going forward. They want to win trophies and they are working hard to improve. For me, that is enough.
  
"I've never talked about demands. Sure, I want to improve and I want to see the club progressing, but I think we are working in the right way. I will be here next season, for sure.
  
"I am grateful with the people here - the supporters, the board, the chairman, the chief executive and also the players. If you are at a club where everything is right, the atmosphere is good, then there is no need to change.
  
"As a manager, when people start saying that big clubs are interested in you, you have to be proud. In this case, Real Madrid and Inter Milan are fantastic clubs, but so is Liverpool.
  
"I have a responsibility and I must continue doing my job. I cannot say, okay, I will go because I might receive a good offer.
  
"If I am here and I want to stay here for a long time, it means I have confidence. We will have a better team next season than last season.
  
"The difference between a very good season, a fantastic season or a not so good season can be one or two players. Next season, with more players, it will be easier. We already have a better squad than last season, after all.
  
"Can we win the Premiership with the new squad? It depends on the other sides, but we would have more possibilities. We have won two trophies and we will try to improve to win more.
  
"I do not know how far we are away from being able tochallenge Chelsea. But in football, nothing is impossible. The problem is that, over nine months, it's harder. But we won 11 games in a row this season. Maybe next year we can do the same.
  
"The Premier League can be the target for the next season. That will be difficult but that is our idea."

祖雲達斯總經理摩基表示，有關暑假會收購謝拉特與加拿斯的傳聞是虛構的。

「有關收購謝拉特及加拿斯的傳聞是虛構的。」摩基說。

「為甚麼還是用二千至二千五百萬歐元去收購後防球員﹖ 我們已經有足夠實力的球員了。」

而韋拉及艾馬臣在中場中路表現不俗，亦令摩基認為無需要收購謝拉特。

「當我們有艾馬臣及韋拉這些球員在陣，根本不需要再巨資收購謝拉特。」

《衛報》說，貝尼特斯的經紀人奎頓１５日與利物浦俱樂部首席執行官帕裡進行了密談，雙方就續約一事達成一致，新合同極有可能在１６日簽訂。

據《衛報》透露，新合同的價值高達１０００萬英鎊。
